    Wobbly lever

I have acquired 2 39a in the last 3 months a 51 and a 56. I am obsessed now. The brand new to me 56 has a wobbly lever even when closed. Not sure if it's the lever spring or retaining screw? This is my first post, though I have been lurking awhile. Thanks

The 56 is similar to the 57 and yes the lever wobbles it part of the short action throw(unless there is a part missing)[if you plan on taking this apart their is a video on the Rimfire Central site that is good. Pay attention to how the parts fit together, take pictures lots of them] This has been addressed before use search for loose/wobbly lever.

Thanks, i will check it out. There is some wobble in the 51,but not when its closed. This is just more. Ther are no parts missing, that I can tell. She shoots ok, didn't know if there was a difference between the 2. Just got the 56 yesterday, cleaning it up and checking it out.

Problem solved. Searched the forum, gave the takedown screw just a touch more with a quarter and perfect. Thanks again for the suggestion.
