Just missed one of the CZ 527 carbines in 762 39 at a show by 30 seconds. Have always had great luck with CZ, Ruger not so much. Should have a accurate rifle for all the SKS ammo I have.

Good to know Duke. Time has been my problem and to be fair, I need to spend more range (ammo variation) time. I would however prefer to find a bulk ammo supply for the obvious reasons.

I have never had one, but I had a CZ 527 in that caliber. Should have never sold it. Was a beautiful little gun, lightweight. I believe it was an 18.5” brl if I remember correctly. One of those guns I should have held on to. I have heard a lot good things about the Ruger.

I have one in 300 Blackout. Very accurate.

The 7.62x39 makes good sense. It uses Mini Thirty magazines. And you can get ammo cheap. Go for it.

Got a small bonus at work yesterday.
Enough to buy the rifle and still have enough left over to pay the monthly electric bill (so I didn't blow it all on frivolity )
Drove straight to the gun store. I like it!
    Thanks guys!

    Hopefully tomorrow.
If it shoots well I may take it out for the NY opener.
My Marlins will be jealous, but they'll get over it.
