What this country needs is a department of common sense! The tree of liberty would be a great place for hang mans ropes!

I think today is going to be mostly yard work, plenty to do. Doubt I'll get a walk in.

    Still, it's exercise.

101_0229.JPGGot the pile shaved down a little bit. There's a lot of wood piled up there and their is a lot of larger logs that need splitting. Got a new chain for the chain saw so it should be easier. Been saving it for this use and not using it in the woods where I tend to hit dirt or a rock now and then.

Yesterday was a walk through town, down to the Columbia so Maverick could swim and play a bit. Round trip was about 3.5 miles, mostly on sidewalks. Got a decent osprey photo down by the river.

Today was a more difficult 7 mile hike into the hills, with about a 1,400' gain, some of it steep. Getting warm. I took two water bottles, I used 1/2 of one, Mav got 1.5 bottles for himself. He was hot and tired when we got home. We both took early naps. Good walk though.
