No Primers, you live in a pretty part of the world. I think that I have mentioned that before but it deserves repetition.

Enjoyed a walk well above the Columbia River yesterday with young Maverick the GWP. Intent was to let him pick up the scent of chukar & quail. Which he did.

We also bumped into a herd of bighorn sheep! Not the big rams, but ewes and younger sheep. It was pretty cool. Difficult to photograph them well with an excited bird dog by my side!

It was a good couple of hours.

I'm envious of you guys that walk all the time. I used to get up and walk 2.5 mi every morning, whatever the weather. Loved to walk. But since I shattered my knee a year and a half ago, now I get up and limp to the bathroom...
I will be heading to Canada for another fly in moose hunt first of Oct. though. First big adventure since my accident. All future big game hunts will be determined by how well this one turns out for me.

Best of luck on your moose hunt Bucky Badger!

Today I left the dog at home to concentrate on photographing the osprey, along the Wenatchee River, Washington:

Just made it back in time, started to sprinkle on my morning walk. 62 degrees cloudy, winds picking up.
Ran into some mountain lion scat on the road. We have one around here some place.
