    50's era 35 rem curly.figure maple

    found this lil jewel few hours west of me up in the hills of NC. Picture w/gun case was when purchased, She now is topped with vxIII leupold 1.5x5x20. Original owner passed and his son just had to have 4 big bills and I was willing to make him smile that day. He told me how he could remember dad whittling away on a hunk of wood when he was a youngster making the stock for his favorite hunting rifle. Thank you marlin gods as I never thought I would be so lucky to own a marlin with a stock of this caliber. Thank you lord!

    WOW! That is some kind of special wood on that rifle. If his old man made that stock and forend he was a hell of a wood carver from what I can tell.
