    Absolutely, I rarely crimp as such, only remove the neck flare opened by the M-Die, might even just leave it if loading singles if they still chamber smoothly enough.

    Keen to try a bespoke Paper Patch mold next, as there's a small misalignment in the paper roll gap-width when the bore-riding nose is a few thou' different from the driving bands. Tom at Accurate Molds has some great choices. Spoiled for choice ;-)

    I am thinking about PPing and just bought The Paper Jacket. If I missed it please excuse me, but I was wondering why one would use a paper patch on a gas checked boolit? Are you one of those people who wear a belt and suspenders?

    How did you know?

    I figure gas-check just adds more protection to the base from powder kernels, when testing my loads.

    Probably no need... like you say, belt and suspenders.... ;-)
