    Leupold 2-7 value

Anyone have a good idea what a mid 90’s Leupold 2-7 scope is worth?

I am not sure, I’ll find that out tomorrow. Are there a lot of different version of that scope?

Mid 90's I believe was VX-III or maybe VariX-III. I hate their coding system!

Thanks the only thing I’m sure of right now is that it is not a rimfire scope.

There are no 2-7 scopes in any of the 3,III etc scopes. Mid 90s should be a Vari-XIIc anda pretty good scope. It should be 33mm objective; they are bringing $185. The plain Vari-XII would be a much lesser scope with the 28mm objective and are worth much less than the IIc.

Depending on which rimfire it may still be designed to withstand 3x 308 recoil, the 60 yard parallax might be the biggest hangup depending on the application.

I know you said it's not a rimfire, just a little extra info.

Leupold has a few models in the 2-7x range with lots of variations on lenses, reticles, etc. as others have said.

sbrmike's Vari-X observation is probably the most accurate

Find out exactly what model it is and the condition of tube & glass.
Then look it up on eBay in the sold listings. That will give you a good ballpark idea of what they are going for.
