    Anyone use a Leupold M8 4X EER?

Hi folks, I just picked one if these scopes up and I'm not sure it's going to be suitable on my CSBL due to VERY long eye relief.. anyone else using one?

I have used them quite a bit , but I have them on Thompson Contenders.
    They are very good scopes.
I wouldn't know anything about them on a rifle.
I don't care for what they call the scout scope setup on a rifle.

Is the eye relief suitable for where it will be mounted on the rifle? If so, it should be fine.

I had a couple of them some years back, but I only used them on handguns. I had one on a Browning Buckmark 22 or, and had a fellow make a shoulder holster for the combo. It would go with me to my tree stands to silence them pesky tree rats! It worked great for that. I later on came across another one, and thought about mounting it forward on my 1894 .357, because of the long eye relief, like a "scout rifle". No good. Didn't have the correct eye relief for anything but a handgun.

But they are darn good for that purpose.

This is a handgun scope, not a scout scope. The difference is that a handgun scope is called an "Extended Eye Relief" scope, and a scout scope is called "Intermediate Eye Relief".

I have 2, one on a Redhawk and one on a Contender. For these applications they work well and I like them.

Eye relief won't work on a rifle.
