In all my years of shooting I have never used shooting glasses but ow that I've had the eye surgery and back to good vision I appreciate it more and will wear some eye protection. I figure why take the chance for no more than what safety glasses cost.

I ALWAYS wear eye protection when shooting and used to wear Oakley ballistics on the range and still do at times but my vision has gone down so I use my regular prescription glasses. I went to America's Best for mine and thought it was a great deal. With an eye exam and 2 pairs it was something like $80. Their military appreciation is in May I believe and it's an even better deal with an additional 10% off or so.

Several different makes with a yellow tint. 1 set has different colour inter chainable lenses, yellow gets used most.

Someone said something about rose tinted. Maybe I should try that?

I have some Oakley Ballistic another set by Remington. They both have interchangeable lenses in various colors.

Having been the victim of a flying stick directly to my left eye when I was four, I appreciate my vision greatly. Had I not had the outstanding surgeon that I did, I would be blind in that eye.

I have also seen what happens when a gun/ammo malfunctions, as I'm sure most of you have, and the result ain't pretty. I always, always wear eye protection. And ear protection, too.

I've caught enough splash back from shooting in close quarters and machine guns that glasses have already proved themselves invaluable in the protection they give. You only get two eyes and they're not replaceable.
