I could be wrong but I seem to recall a DUI and causing a death in an accident is manslaughter with 25 years and no parole. This ought to be life.

I'm sure you mean 2013. That would put this kid at 17 or 18 and again just one month ago. The article I read didn't state if he was impaired or not, but if he was, then he deserves life. No question about it.

that is awful! I don't believe peoples brains are geared up to look for motorcycles. I had a Harley. every time I left the house I wondered if I was coming back. I got rid of it! a good friend of mine had one, an old lady turned right in front of him as he was doing about 50mph now he is on disability and has migraine headaches. no thanks! I will take my chances on 4 wheels!
I have never harvested an animal but I have KILLED QUITE A FEW !

I would rather have a gun in my hand than a cop on the phone,,,,,,,,,

    Thank you David.

In addition to those who've passed, and the survivors, and their families, I'm praying for the first responders. The witnesses who tried to help. The firefighters & medical crews at the scene. The cops. Though the trained first responders are somewhat accustomed to seeing death and bad injuries - not normally on this scale. In my twenty years in law enforcement, I never responded to a scene with so much death. Thankfully. So, I'm keeping those first responders, including the witnesses, in my prayers as well. They can never un-see what they've seen, they can only deal with it. I hope that our Lord will help them deal with it, and help them go on to help many other people through their careers and lives.
