My KLX 250s is real slow, except in the woods, then I leave my buddies 650 behind. Dropped it at 55 mph 9 years ago when I hit hydraulic fluid on the road. Slid 120 feet, picked it up and road away. Thanks to proper gear.

They are a hoot (DCT) and enjoyable in stop & go traffic. I’ve cut back my riding greatly because at 67yo I’ve noticed myself not paying 100% attention 100% of the time (an accident waiting to happen) while on long cross country trips.

I got a 19’ class b camper van and am getting a Hydralift Mini bumper mounted hydraulic m/c carrier this coming week (I wasn’t happy using a Kendon trailer) to carry the NC’ to destinations, offload and ride the bike there.

    (Not my van)

That should extend my years riding by a dozen!

These are the type of destinations where I ride.

A trailer makes it prohibitive to travel to and enjoy. Hence my picking up a bumper m/c carrier next week.

My 2017 KLR 650. More for dirt roads than off road. Included my 2 favs. Both .35 Rems.
