    Re: Just a Biker

Very nice. Had too many friends and my own stepfather hit or killed while on a bike.

I've been rear ended, cut-off, pushed into oncoming traffic, had a truck blow a tire 50' in front of me, & run out of my lane.

I've kicked in a fender and knocked off a mirror while doing 60+ when I lived in the Dallas area. I'm young (27), but I have ridden a bike almost since I could ride a bicycle, and had my motorcycle license before I could legally drive a car (15). I've probably had my knees in the breeze and my butt in the saddle for more than 200,000 miles of daily commute. My current bike is flat black, no front fender, no shield, suicide shift, and LOUD. Bikers are some of the roughest, best, real people you could ever have the honor to meet.

Would not trade any of it for anything, but my very young family is forcing me to rethink things just for these reasons. I will pass this around, and always wear my brain bucket (I hate that thing) because the cagers NEVER see you.

    Motor easy boys...motor easy.

Me and my Triumph earlier this year.

I love your bike. I've been wanting one since they first came out. I'll have to stick with my Nightster for now.

My goodness that's a pretty Triumph, had a '77 Bonneville for a long time, nothing like it in the mountains except a Ducati, I guess. Sold the Sportster a couple years back when it seemed my reflexes were slower than I liked. I always said it was as good a therapy as you could get. The "Just a Biker" is a good read, and on target.

Bikers are a good breed, my club has been at it for the better part of twenty years now. This pic is from one of our past annual Brothers Lost Memorial Run. This year was the 17th year for the ride. We use all the proceeds from it to donate to all sorts of charities and local people in need whether they got medical problems or were in a motorcycle crash or what have you. One of the last thing we done was send some dough out to help the local Elks club send out some care packs for the troops. I am proud of my misfit biker brethren...some of us dont play well with others but we do well by others
