    Has it improved?

One of my LGS has a new one of these for sale. From reading around on different forums and watching videos, they tended to have extraction issues. Has mossberg fixed these? Also is the a way to lighten the lever safety as to not have to put a death grip on the stock? I’m interested in them for their looks and the price. Since JM marlins are hard to find and Henry’s are out of my price range right now, the mossberg is my best option. Thanks

I've only handled and fired a couple, but I wasn't aware of the problem. Reminds me of a Win 94.

Mine had two issues with this. The one is the magazine follower hanging up, which I fixed with a little lube. The other was the extractor broke. It is not made well. You can order the parts from Mossberg. Came by pony express but got to me. I may just order a spare ejector. Don't know if any aftermarket followers would work made for Marlins. I may just take one out of a Marlin and see if it works in the Mossberg. The extractors are a spring that has been bent over to catch the rim. Mine broke at the bend. New one may last. Under $20 with postage so a spare would not be out of line to keep around. Kind of like the Marlin ejectors.

you get what you pay for, I saw a few in a cabbalas a few years ago and they were just plain cheaply made, blueing was poor quality as was fit and finish of furniture, but hey if it shoots straight and is reliable why not, the price is low
