If that won't do it, it won't get done! Congrats on a great score!

Wow! Great idea! I need to find another 35 Rem that I can get modified.

Nice deal on that rifle. I have a lower and talking to my son earlier today he has a nice 458 Socom barrel so I am now ordering what I don't already have to build a 458 Socom. Not sure why but after reading a little on them I decided I needed one even though I don't shoot my 45/70 often.
Lever Jac and Longbow14 like this.

The Bushmaster is 1/4" shorter than a .45-70. So, how many .450 Bushmaster cartridges does your rifle hold?

Holds 6 +1 of the 250gr FTX. It is VERY close to 7! But just not quite enough room in the mag. This was a Mod 336 35Rem that I had converted though, not an 1895.
    Lots of Marlins!

The 450 BM is a great caliber. It sure puts the thump on deer and bear. I have one in the AR platform but would love to have a Marlin converted to one like Mazer did.

I wanted to have a lever made into a 450BM, just didn't want to pony up the two grand, so I went a different direction

Savage 110 Wolverine, hopefully I get to put a couple deer down with it this year. Accuracy is impressive on paper targets, this round has a nice thump to it. I love the accutrigger and accu adjustable stock, its fully convertible to the shooter

    Love me some 45-70's

I built a 450 BM upper using a Bear Creek Arsenal barrel I bought last November. I already had an Anderson sporter (no forward assist or ejection port cover) and a free float hand guard and gas block/tube. Just needed a bolt, not the carrier, just the bolt. It took me until August of this year to find a place that just sells the bolt. All in all I had about $220 in it, not counting the lower which I had a number of or the Vortex 2-7x scope.

Just got back from hunting where I took a doe on opening day with it. Hit her high in the shoulder at 70 yards and blew out her spinal cord. Yeah the 450 works okay!
