Maybe a new, to me, 1946 model 36.

First of all hello to all. First post here.
Considering buying a guys old 1946 model 36. She is rough and needs new wood. Does this girl take the modern 336 stuff? I know the forearm is a different shape, more of a belly like myself, but as for general fitting are the front and rear the same?
I have found the couple of missing small parts for her so the wood is only thing holding me back right now. Will be a project gun kinda like my 1953 336 sc. Keeping her old school just with nice Maple maybe.
Have a newer 90's 336 that I am going sorta zombie/tactical on just to be different. Maybe give that one to the nephew in a couple of years.
    I am The Steve
