    36A - DL Help

I am looking at a 36ADL here locally. It has been drilled and tapped and blueing refinished. Doesn't have the checkered stock. But I am looking for a nice gun to use. My question is, do most of the parts for the 36 interchange with the 336? Are the triggers and sears the same on both models? I was just curious if most parts did interchange incase I needed something down the road.

Also, I have read that the 336 are stronger. Would the 36 be able to handle leverevolution ammo and even reloads?

    Thanks

See my post in the 35 Rem section of the forum (Restoring old 35 Rem 336). Be careful to research the PSI design rating of a 36 versus a 336 receiver. Also, I found out that new current production Remlin parts can be very different dimensionally than older JM Marlin parts. You need to compare the part side by side to determine if it will fit or is the same in size and thickness.

The parts for 36 and 93 are interchangeable. The 336 parts are different as I understand it. There are some good sources for older model parts. Numrich. Wisners, and Jack First are my 1st go to. They are on the net.
    Have a great day.

I’m thinking the DL in the model no. denotes (deluxe) hence checkering.
Stocks may not be original which may not be of importance on a user gun.

Many of the DL barrels made their way onto non deluxe guns. They would use whatever was available to get the gun out the door. It is POSSIBLE that the wood is correct for that gun. Pull the buttstock and look in the groove the upper tang sits I might have a number in there. Good luck. I love 35 Remington Marlins.
