    Recoil lug

In all my barrel swapping, it seems that I have misplaced a recoil lug for my XS-7. Are these the same as a 700?? 783?? anybody got an extra??

Numrich has used ones for $16.25.

I'm gonna try to scratch up a Rem 700 and see if that will work. If not, I'll go to Numrich

I do have a savage recoil lug you can try. You'll have to grind off the locator pin, it is the same thickness, same hole ID. I have no use for it. Mike

OK I'll try a Savage if they are the same thickness.

Bart, if you decide to try milling a slot or? in the Marlin receiver to accept the Savage type locator pin. We'll be interested, if it works.

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your rusted masses yearning to live again,
The wretched refuse of your humid closet.
    Send me the partless, broken-stocked,
The Marlins in need of new life...
