Any issues to look for in used XL7's?

I've been able to find a couple locally, but unfortunately not in the caliber I'd like. Some are JM, some aren't (made in KY). Is there anything specific I should look into, any problem areas, etc? Other than the standard checks you'd make with any used rifle. I'm tempted, especially on the JM's, but I think they've been sitting around at the store a lot.

The big issue seems to be the bolt extractor which can break as reported by some of our MO membership. The other issue is the scarcity of spare parts since Remlin didn't produce these rifles for long after the company merger. I have two of the X7s and like them both a lot. They are much better rifles than what Remington is making now which includes the new Mod 700s.

Beware of previous owner's attempt to lighten or bugger up the trigger....I have a pair of X7 myself, a XS in 243 dressed in a Boyds Heritage w/adj comb that I filed and sanded..and an XL in 30-06 that I picked up recently as a project. Trying to decided on a 338-06 or an 8mm-06. But if I can emulate a sako 985 magazine, I'd just as soon go for 9.3x64 Brenneke necked down to either 338 or 323.
