I had 3 brothers that were life long hunting buddies. Their family were Remngton nuts. They were all older than me and were the reason I bought a 742 and 870 back in 60s when I was a kid. It didn't take me long to jump off Rem bandwagon. I use to make them madder than hell calling Rems tomatoe stakes. The only Rem I bought since 60s was a 1100 LT 20g for my wife in late 70s. This was fueled by one of these brothers insisting my wife use his. Her 1st 3 seasons she killed here deer with a 410. ( long story having her gun shy from getting stitches from scope on 308 ) it worked out anyway. Her 1100 and the 870 are the only post war Rems I own. Have had dozens on trades but they stay in trade pile.
