    Plant Tour

I've posted a few times before about the products we forge for Marlin/Remington
Well today the big wigs from Remington are coming to our plant for a shop tour.
Guess who gets to lead them around....

I've got some questions for these folks...tour is scheduled for 2:00 pm Eastern

    I'll report back.
I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.....

Like 94 said, tell them the truth. Let them know that as a result of their smug arrogance they have destroyed one of the country’s finest companies and wound up with a lot of angry, dissatisfied customers, and that it is high time for them to stop concentrating on what they can get by with and set things right for a change.
They need to recognize that their customers are the ones who pay hard earned money for these products and keep them in business. And they need to recognize the fact that the customer is also the one who uses the product and should be able to depend on it. And, if the customers are telling them that they are turning out pieces of junk, then there’s a far better than average chance that they are turning out pieces of junk!

Remington already knows the truth and they could care less, they have already proven that.
You don't think they can't read this forum and all the returns and complaints they get.
Upper management had decided to push numbers vs quality and cut corners everywhere they can.
As long as they can still turn a profit all is well with the bean counters.

There could be several reasons for their visit. One that nags at the back of my mind is that they may be looking for places to cut back, since they now have to be concerned about the lawsuits from the Sandy Hook incident. It reminds me of a place I once worked. The big shots came through and toured the plant. The next day, we were directed to get an inventory of all our equipment. Three months after that, the plant was closed, and all our equipment was either sold off, scrapped, or sent to the main company facility in southern Idaho. I sincerely hope this is not the case.
