AND if any can get it or have it already the AHC (American Heros Channel) is showing a lot of incredible military & war historical documentaries as well.

I recently discovered this channel on the recent free Sling TV preview and discovered it is an app on ROKU so now I have it!

I watched 1917 and it was a good movie but not as good as I expected. It was very much a WWI version of, but far less of a movie than, Saving Private Ryan.

For a riveting WWI movie my pick is "Paths of Glory" staring Kirk Douglas.

An interesting WW1 movie is Beneath Hill 60. Seems the Germans had a commanding view of the area and our side (Brits and or Canadians) dug a tunnel under the hill and blew the place up. Based on true story. I forget if it was in, "A Rifleman Went to War" or "Shots Fired in Anger" (I have both books) where there were several incidents of that nature. The conditions in those trenches was horrendous.

COMPROMISE IS NOT AN OPTION! POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS AN OXYMOROM PROMULGATED BY MORONS! WHAT GOOD FORTUNE FOR GOVERNMENT THAT THE PEOPLE DO NOT THINK!....Adolf Hitler
Our forefathers did not politely protest the British. They did not vote them out of office, nor did they impeach the king, march on the capitol or ask permission for their rights. ----------------They just shot them.

Paths of Glory is to realistic, probably a real story. There is another movie Boer War where British high command sacrificed a couple men for political reasons. Can’t remember the name of it.
