I have been tracking this stuff for many years now... religiously... My present spreadsheet has nearly 5000 entries. I started doing it to learn what various models were selling for in the real world... not what people WANT to get for their family heirloom. It helped me make realistic decisions on whether a price was right or not. But, I never always follow my own logic.... some Marlins are hard to pass at any price!

Thanks dkat, I took the liberty of adding your number only.

In researching prior to my purchase, I saw auction sales of $2800, and 3 @ $2500, for unfired sets with cases, all of those plus auction commission!
I'm still digging trying to update with what info is provided without stepping on toes....

I'm sorry, I thought this thread was to promote a registry of the Presentation sets and to share information on these fine rifles. I was a little confused by the list of #'s and prices as that doesn't lend to what a registry is.

dkat I don't see the conflict, in that a registry is a place where records are kept.
What kind of info is recorded is totally up to you, not me...
I just started a list hoping to share info offered, just as you noted.
If your pricing is not for sharing, that's totally up to you, no complaints here.
The member who offered his data put some work into it, the most I've seen anywhere in one place
The only thing I personally look for is an accounting of the set number and its condition, anything else shared is a bonus in my mind.
But its not my list, just trying to help.

lloydsparts, this would be the place to find a brace, hopefully.
I found, as with most guns, it's usually just a matter of having enough dollars, unless they were a presentation to the current owner.
Good luck, hope to see you with your very own number again or stop back to see what's new.

I have set #767 with case but no papers, no idea how many owners prior to me. Case lining has been replaced on bottom, top lining looks original (I do not store in case).
