Are any of you turkey hunting this season? Share some pics.

I plan on doing some with my bow out of a ground blind. I will share pics as available.

I love turkey hunting, probably my favorite thing to do with a firearm.

Nice! Not sure if we'll be going this year or not yet, but it would be for the Fall season here anyway.
Btw, the first Turkey I ever got was with a bow... and a great memory too, ha!
    Good luck to you...

Thanks for the comments....my compound is sighted in for field point for the 3d tournaments this season. I am seriously thinking about taking out my recurve for turkeys this year. It will only be a 20-30 yd shot anyway and from a blind, so how cool would that be!

Hey Lever -- good-lookin' leather! If I kill a bird, I promise to post. Season starts for me on the 23rd.

Is that your bird for this season?

I pulled out my Montana decoys today and my ground blind. I will be sighting in some arrows for a couple of recurve bows to see which one I will take out for a hunt. The compound is sighted in for field points and 3D shoots. It will be fun to shoot the recurve at a bird anyway.

I missed the deadline last December and just as well. We just went through a blizzard that dumped 12-14" of global warming on us last weekend. I've seen two toms walking through the backyard Monday and both were wearing leg warmers. 15 deg again this morning. We still have 3' of ice on the lakes and with fishing opener on May 5th we'll be drilling holes and using tip-up's instead of our boats.......

Yeah I have heard of your weather.....we got some record snow fall this year but not that cold this year over all. Just seemed LONG! Today the global warming has passed, temp nearly 60 degrees and the sun is out!

I played with some arrows the other day but I would need to buy more with a 500 spine to do it and I could not find some. Really only need a half dozen and I would do bare shafts, but daggum, they are going up on price.

So...plan two....I am going to try a 40# recurve of mine and see if I can get some broad heads to fly off of it using 600 spine arrows. If that works, I will find some time to get one for at least and evening hunt or maybe an early morning hunt.

I gotta get the garden prepped as well....TONS of work to do out there to get ready for the planting time Memorial day weekend.
