Iam trying to think , for me i can't remember much about having or carrying a knife, much before my military service
I remember getting a scout knife , when i joined the sea scouts. But the first knife i really carried was a buck 110 folding lock blade, that all the sailors carried on. Every ship i was on.

These aren't the originals, but represent my longest carried knives

My longest I own a Buck 307 Wrangler purchased in 1973. I miss the days when you could go anywhere and find quality.

Puma Deer Hunter...had since the mid 70's.

Case jack knife my Grandpa gave me when I was in grade school. Blades are worn down from use & sharpening. Must have been in the mid sixties.

Well that brought out a couple of old war horses. I carried both of these, a K Bar and a Demo knife, from my earliest days in the Army until I retired. They served in SE Asia, South America, Central America and the desert. I guess I've had these close to 50 years now.

I don't have a photo but the knife I have owned the longest has a 6" blade with a deer hoof for a handle. The blade is marked Solingen, Germany but I don't think it has a maker's stamp on it. Can't even remember where it came from but have had it since I was a kid.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.
