Funny giving the guy restocking hell. I can see me doing that.

If you can't get TP, try tissues.

Yeah, we got plenty of other paper goods, but having a septic we like using the "septic safe" stuff.

At the worst, we will just have to have the system pumped sooner.

oh well....i got 14 chicks in my coop im raising.

seriously thinking about getting a milk cow.
My grandfather had a saying that roughly translated means: "One cow covers a man's every poorness" - milk, cream, butter, meat (from her next calf) etc. So true. My family raised chickens on the farm - lots of chickens - hated cleaning the barns - but I definitely see a chicken coop in my yard come spring - just in time to make my cranky neighbor more cranky.

A buddy of mine suggested that we get some chicks from Tractor Supply or North 40. I told him I'd probably starve to death before they were big enough to eat.

When we moved up here to the PACNW my wife said she had to have a bidet...For a lil over $200 Costco has em which is a very easy way to go without TP.

The authorities said using grandma's bar soap will effectively kill the virus if you touch something. No need for sanitizing soap is what I heard.

More grocers are opening from 7am-9am Tuesdays and Thursdays for seniors and poor health folks.

Anyone hear about the two Nashville brothers who bought up all the sanitizers they could find and started selling them for $70 a bottle.
They got banned from the net and had all the bottles confiscated. the sanitizers were then given to the fire departments to hand out, free, to anyone who needed them.

Y'all stay safe and carry for yer loved ones.

lol - the way country folks do it is you get chickens for eggs.
When they can't lay any more then it's what's for supper.
I used to help my grandmother collect eggs everyday - I love having chickens and this scare might be the way I finally get my wife to let me build a coop.

I dont see anything good coming out of this. I have to say however it may be nice for some of the sheeple to wake up to the fact everything they want will not always be there every time they want it. Their misplaced belief in some in the stability of society may just be shaken, a little at least.

I cant buy soap, and its almost the weekend.

For years our life style has been for the most part, live out of our pantry. Take something out and if the stock is low, put it on the list.

Back awhile there was a discussion about the storms that hit the South East and the Atlantic coast with regularity, each time bring about panic buying of generators, fuel, food etc. etc.

Likely the best reply I've ever heard went something like this, when the storms are over, you have 9 months to prepare for the next batch.

For those that were not at least marginally prepared to weather the storm for a period of some weeks, I feel little sympathy. For the most part, they had the same opportunity as I did.

Just talked to a son last night and he said a friend was late coming to the "prepping" game but sometime, I'm suspecting within the last year, began and "threw money at it."

Many of us cannot take that tact or have the resources to "throw money at it," but almost all of us could buy an extra can of soup or tuna or soap or paper towels when we go to the store.

It's like those that are now -AGAIN - buying up all the ammo etc. they can find. Didn't they have a stash already? If not, SHAME on them! Not my problem!
