    "Marlin Jam" Problem

My 336 had the Marlin jam where it would feed two rounds at once. So I bent the Carrier up a little bit and now it jams in a different way. It cycles fine with no rounds, but when i put one round it jams the lever to the rear and it cant move. So i would have to take the whole thing apart to get it to work again. Did i bend the carrier too much, or to little? Or is it a different reason. Jams with every factory ammo ive tried.

    Thanks

Are you working the action quickly? Working it slowly will cause it to jam.

The Gene Pool is in need of a lot of Chlorine!

Better yet, drain the entire pool!

Yeah, i am doing it fast. When the action is fully open it gets stuck and the lever wont move.

I had a problem where the carrier was picking up two 30 30 cartridges at a time in my 336 and causing a jam.It would happen occasionally at first, then more often.
I tried a new Carrier, only for the problem to return years later.I asked a DIY gunsmith at the gun club and he emailed me this fix and it worked.Real easy to do.
