I came up with a tang sight I really didnt know anything about. From my research it looks like a lyman #1 made for an 1894 winchester. The pat date is jan 29 79 and may 6 84. From what I can come up with thats 1879 and 1884. It has a fold down aperture insert thats .042 which leaves a ghost ring thats .097. Perfect for my h001, fits like its made for it. But I want to see if anybody knows anything about it, I think it was made between 1894 and 1904. The code on the bottom is DA which I think is for a winchester 1894.Its semi mounted on my henry but I want to make sure its not worth 3 times what the rifle is before I drill the front hole in the tang. The blueing is mostly worn off and the rear hole has the bevel enlarged a little. But it works perfect ,folds over, locks tight and the elevation adjusts perfect.
Thanks for any help or thoughts on this.
