Henry Golden Boy Update With Pics

Hey guys, I finished off a brick (550 rds) of .22's today through my new Henry GB and thought I would share my thoughts with it. The rifle has functioned flawlessly...ZERO malfunctions! Tickles me to death how well she works. The action is still tight (no lever play) and smooth as can be. This gun is so fun to shoot. The only thing that I can say bad about it is that she shoots to the left a little. Its not that much but it still bothers me that I cant hold it dead on. The target posted was shot from 30 yards using Federal Bulk Ammo. My other .22's were feeling left out so they joined in. Cheers!

Excellent, why not drift that rear sight the tiniest bit to the right and get it shooting dead on?

That Henry is trying to tell you to mount a marbles tang sight. Henry seems to be making good stuff.

Yeah, sounds easy enough, right? There is one screw that is holding the sight on. Although, I took the screw out and the sight would not come off. Im not sure what else is holding it on. Also, when the screw is out, you can move the sight to the left or right. Although, when I tighten up the screw (ever so lightly, I may add) the sight returns back to where it was. I tried my best to hold the sight while I snugged up the screw but it just wants to go back for some reason. Im still in the stage of babying it around, not wanting to scratch it up so that is preventing me from exploring the rifle by taking it apart. Im bout to die to take the lever out but I read some where that the Henry was a pain to disassemble and I havent seen any videos or instructions on taking the rifle apart. Probably call Henry and see if they can advise any on the issue.

Yeah, Im very impressed with mine. I would love to check out the brass 30 30 they have. If it's as good as the .22, I may have to start saving up for it.

My brother and I recently purchased a pair of Henry Big Boys, his in .45 Colt and mine in .44 to go along with my Henry .22 LR. If you haven't checked the Henry line out, you owe it to yourself to do so. I still love my Marlin and Winchester .30-30, but the new Henry's are sweeeet!

A friend of mine just offered his GB safe queen to me, and i couldn't refuse. I love this gun, but it also shoots to the left. Upon closer inspection i realized the front sight sits right of center in the barrel. I suppose i can carefully drift it back into place. might be worth a look on yours. enjoy

The GB rifle is a superb quality lever gun. I have one and I love it. It is just solid and gorgeous. At first I was apprehensive on Henry Rifles because I did not like tube loaders, but after owning one now, Henry is all I want to buy. I love them!

The Henry golden boys are some nice looking rifles with a very reasonable price tag.If they work half as good as they look they have to be pretty darn good. How about some more pictures of that fine Henry.

I thought the golden boys had synthetic plastic internals? It's not until you move up to the Big Boy that you get into the good, quality, brass Henrys?
