I have a Henry BBS carbine in 41 Mag. Love this little rifle. I removed the buck horn sight as my aging eyes don't shoot them as well as they used to. Added a Skinner Express sight and a new partridge front sight to bring it all together. It shoots exceptionally well with 210 gr. Hornady XTP or Speer 210 deep curl/gold dot. I hand load almost all of my ammo. My load with either of these using Starline brass and Lil' Gun powder produces 1.5 inch groups at 100 yds. I did try a load of 230gr LSWCGC from HSM called their "Bear Load". It shot about the same but was maybe and inch to 1.5 inches high at same range. All my loads are also my pistol loads. I shoot a Ruger Blackhawk, and either a S&W 57 or a 3inch S&W 657. These loads are on the hotter end in my handguns but shoot well. The Henry's are great little rifles and I don't think you can go wrong with one. I plan on buying more.
