    First hog with 45-70

I’m waiting on a mount for my 444 so I decided to take my Ruger 45-70 out for the first time this evening.

Nice! Did you get a twofer one?
If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

No, separate. One was running away from me and I gut shot it.
One the way out I hit a really big hog at 150 yards on the edge of a clear cut. The hog made a half circle then ran.
I found pieces of tissue and plenty of blood leading into a very thick area along side of a creek. I really wanted to trail it but lightning and heavy rain set in.

I didn’t think I would like it as much as I do. I felt obligated to take it out since I put a scope on it. It’s one of those guns that feels good when you pull the trigger if you know what I mean.
