Notice how much farther to the front a hawg's heart is? That is why so many hawgs are lost. Folks try to shoot em like they would a deer. The best shot is to the neck, about half way and right behind the ear. Big Target and affects the CNS right then and there. If you do not mind tracking and usually losing a hawg, just shoot behind the shoulder and see for yourself what happens!
This pic shows the hawg's lungs to be much larger than they are in actuality.
The shield of a big ol boar (covers the shoulders) has stopped too many .30 caliber bullets as well as larger calibers. This thing is so hard you cannot punch a Phillips screwdriver thru it. I watched to fellas try in a few weeks ago. The bullet/boolit has to be of the proper construction.
