Thinking of getting a new revolver....opinions?

I have been carrying Glocks for years. Well, I am debating a new revolver for carry. May even grab an extra for a console truck gun. Just so many options. I am going to the gun show next weekend to look at some. If you revolver guys had to buy one today for carry, what would be your go to?
I want it to be stainless, .357, and would like a smaller gun. Figure since I already have a few levers in .357, and a lot of ammo, be the logical choice.. Really wanting a nice one to carry, maybe a cheaper one for the truck. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Would be hard to go wrong with a 4" Ruger GP100
A little smaller would be their 5-shot SP101

I have heard a lot of bad stuff about Taurus. Mostly online. My buddy has a little .38, been carrying it for years, and has shot it hundreds of times. He loves his. So, I am goi g to look at Taurus at the show. I have also heard that Smiths quality has really gone down in the past several years.

J-frame S&W M&P 360 357mag with extended Crimson Trace laser grips. Need the extra room for my big hands. One of my favorite CC guns. Stays in my coat pocket year round and goes EVERY place with me. Regardless if there is a stupid sign or not. Along with my Kershaw.

I like my Ruger SP-101 a lot too. The one that has the fiber optic sights.
It IS larger than "J" frame, but way more accurate & easier to shoot.
I figure that if I got in a situation that I really needed it, I want to be able to hit something.
In shorts, if I just want something that goes bang at close range, I slip a NAA .22 revolver with the folding grip into my pocket. Prints sort of like a Leatherman.

Yep. I bought a USED Ruger 357 GP100 4+ inch blued revolver made in 1986. GREAT revolver, accurate, straight shooter, and not too heavy to carry on my back pack belt. I can carry it for hours without it getting in the way, sagging my BP belt, and it's right there if I need it ASAP.

A lot of folks recommend a 44 Mag for bear protection, but they are too heavy to carry all day. Bears in PA average 200 lb or less. My Ruger is a Medium Frame firearm, so i Load it up with Buffalo Bore 180 ammo for bear protection. Sure, a 44 Mag has a bit more BANG, but where I live, I don't believe I need it. I can target practice with 38 caliber ammo to keep cost down, its been a good choice.

What your target might be should be a consideration as to what you carry.

I made the change over to revolvers last year after carrying a Kimber .45 for many years.

    I have a S&W 627 Performance Center 357, 2.6", 8 shot that I love.
    Also a S&W Model 60 stainless, 357, 5 shot that I also love.
I back that up with a S&W 642 with Crimson Trace Laser Grips, 38 Sp +P,

I carry all three depending upon what I'm doing and where. But I always have either the 627 and 642, or the Model 60 and 642.
