    Browning BDA 380 came home.

This came in the two gun lot I recently won at auction. The other was a Hi-Power in thread I started yesterday. This 380 cleaned up well. I was thinking of selling it to offset the cost of the other, but think I will just add it to the family.

Yep, I'd be inclined to do the same for summertime carry.

That's what I was thinking. Smaller gun but still has a 13 round magazine. Also, today's 380 defensive ammo is no slouch. I just picked up some Sig Sauer Elite HP ammo for it.

Agreed, the 380 has come a long way of late. If you haven't seen my post here regarding caliber, the 11 minute video is a worthy view. The biggest surprise for me was the 380. Enjoy that pistol!

I had a colt mustang I carried for a few years. one day my dog bayed a big armadillo between some logs at my brothers sawmill. I shot him in the back and that thing flipped and flopped all over the place. I think it was hornady hp I used. it left a exit hole about a nickel size, I was impressed, it did expand,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    Bassetman,

    Go shoot it...........................

In the 80's, I owned the Berretta Model 84 that is the same platform...........Beautiful workmanship, but a horrible fire control system!

They are nice pistols to add to a collection, but I would not carry one............The Berreta 84's are fat with their double stack design, and I grew to dislike the whole platform.........particularly , the long throw to trigger and lack of over travel stop.

I couldn't hit anything with mine offhand at 15-20 yards......

    Good Luck with yours

My Bro has the 380 Brn with adj sights, single stack. It is impressive accuracy for a 380. He walks his dog every evening and usually carries some off the wall pistol to try out. It shoots well enough to be a practical plinker. He has shot several coons off his trash cans with it & HPs with good results. I wouldn't feel under gunned with 380 as CCW.
