A second Chiefs Special enters the rotation

So yesterday, I added a pinned S&W Model 60 (no dash) to the safe.

(M60, original numbered grips, leather IWB holster for $475)

Once I get her to the range to verify POA/POI, I’ll be adding to my carry rotation.

    (w/ Model 36-7)

Now to decide which grips to use ...

I have a Tyler T-grip coming that I know will work great with the Magnas ...

But until it arrives, these never agree with my hand’s idea of manageable recoil.

It was wearing Hogues when I bought it ...

And, while they feel comfortable, they don’t look as nice as with ...

these J frame Altamonts that I had in the grip box:

    ... decisions, decisions.

I traded for a model 60 Smith at a gun show several years ago and my youngest son swapped me out of it. He is a very good shot being young with good eyes i guess but he can take that little model 60 and keep a coke can bouncing . I am just amazed at how accurate the pistol is.

I like J Frames and own six. IMHO the BodyGuards and Centennials are the best pocket gun ever designed. I also carry a Model 60.

Love those model 60's. I have the 60-10. Didn't care for the grips it came with so put Eagle Elk Horn grips on it. Did the same for my 627 PC. I just never found grips with finger groves that fit me, and I like to grip higher. You got that one at a great price. Congratulations.
