    ok since im going to keep it ,I will divulge the purchase price . neighbor wanted 1500 ,I paid 1350 .he had had it 10 years and never fired it ,im sure he made a couple dollars .

    They are pricey these days for sure. Sounds like a fair deal for both of you. I could not tell a lot by the picture about the color or the bluing. Most that age that I have seen have a almost green or gray color to the metal. That one looks like dark bluing and shiny but that may just be the light the picture was taken in.

    I have a few pre-war commercials, looks original to me. What are the markings on the barrel and how about the magazine, should have a two-tone magazine. I believe I would have bought it too. Congrats
