Not really seeing much about the Ruger Wrangler?

After a pretty big "to do" prior to it's arrival, I really don't see much good or bad about the Wrangler. Maybe I don't go the those forums, or maybe it's just kind of what it is?

Friend of mine bought one. Really likes it. So much so, that he bought a second one!

He's having a great time at the range with his, just plinking merrily away with those 22's. I haven't shot either of them yet, but he's just tickled with 'em.

I have never heard of it until now so just looked it up. I don't care for those painted finishes on a gun and prefer blued steel or stainless.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

I saw and handled them at the NRA convention. Seems like the usual Ruger quality.
I also handled the Rough Rider. Other than the painted action I like the pistol.
They are still going to have to compete with the ROUGH RIDER. Rural King or Dunhams had them for $99 a couple of weeks ago, Mostly they are $129.
So is this Ruger worth the extra $120?

People say money can't buy happiness But it can buy me a Marlin and ammo to shoot in it, dies, powder bullets...

Kittery Trading Post had one a few weeks back for 199.00. Pretty sure that's going to be the most likely sale price off of MSRP. For the extra 70.00 I'll go with the Ruger, you just won't get the 22 mag extra cylinder option.

They look like a good buy at that price for someone that wants a cheap single action 22 revolver. I like the Ruger pistols I have shot in the past and I own a Ruger GP100 357 that is a fine revolver.

There's a few new threads about the Wrangler on rugerforum.net.
I'm not too interested in ever cheaper guns. If I want a Ruger SA.22 I'll just spend a bit more and get a Single Six or Single Ten.

They must be selling pretty well. My LGS has been trying to get one of each finish but distributors are all sold out.

Great performing pistol for the price point.
