    Color Cased LCP slide.

Turnbulls is offering color case for the Ruger LCP for around $100.
I saw one my co-worker had done. Looks pretty snazzy.
I did not see the benefit to jazzing up a gun almost no one will ever see though.

Was having a hard time imagining that until I saw that pic. It DOES look nice.

While beautiful, my guess is this takes it out of the pocket gun category and moves it to the collector category. Is an LCP valued by collectors? From what I have read, color case hardening is not that durable a finish, so I can't imagine it living long when used on a firearm operating in its intended hostile environment. (Just ask Glock about finishes rubbing off). And like the OP said, if you actually use it no one will see it unless you are at the range.

Just a thought on the practicality of color case hardening an LCP if I read about the durability correctly. But hey, if they look that good, who cares if they can cook or do laundry.

I like the looks of that slide. Not that expensive of a customization in the grand scheme of things.

Yep, like others, I like the look but wouldn't get it done if the gun is gonna be holstered. I can imagine doing the slide and leaving the frame black on a full size 1911 that is designated for home use. That would be cool.
