I had that same H&R 949 that I bought new in 1974 (my first "gun shop" purchase - it was stolen in a burglary of my house in 1986. It was a cheap handgun (about $40 in 1974), but about all I could afford at the time. I must have put several thousand rounds through it, especially in the 70's while living on the farm. I don't want to search for another one, but I sure would like to have "mine" back.

I bought out the guns and ammo of a small local HWD in 1972. Among the handguns was a Iver Johnson that looked like a H&R 949 but was 8 shot and had phony stag grips, also a magnum cylinder. I've never seen another.

    Cool Colt's .22

    Was a great day, yesterday.

Everyone has one of these in their toy box. (don't they?)

Took it out, and fed it a brick (okay, bulk pack) . It would have ate another...

Think I need to paint some..........
