Lovin' my Uberti SAA Colt/Remington 1858 SA clones

I bought a Taylor and Company 1858 Remington New Army Uberti 45 LC conversion revolver earlier this year at my LGS. It was too good a deal to pass up at the time (350 bucks OTD). After one range session with some Winchester Cowboy 45 LC ammo--I was very impressed with the accuracy and quality of what Uberti had made. I began reloading for 45 LC and I was smitten with Ubertiitis (is that a real word?). I later picked up a Uberti Stoeger Cattleman Colt SAA clone in 45 LC and a Cimarron Model P Colt SAA clone in 44 Special. My son liked the 45 LC Cattleman so much--I gave it to him as a B-Day and Christmas present. He shot the dickens out of the 7 yard and 10 yard target center using full up 800-X loads with a 255 grain hardcast Boolit. I don't think my infatuation with Uberti handguns is going to end anytime soon......

I have 2 Cimmaron Model P revolvers, one in 32-20 and the other is in 38-40. A poor mans Colt. I'm very happy with mine, wouldn't mind one in 44-40 also. Both of mine are 4 5/8" barrels.

Very nice! Would like to have one myself! Maybe I'll walk in some LGS and hear one calling my name!

Yep, I don't think anyone could convince me that a real Colt could be any better than my Uberti 1873 SAA.

I was considering a Uberti in 32-20=12 since my wife has a Marlin 1894CL in that caliber. I tracked down a reblued S&W Model 1902 in 32-20=12 made in 1903 in fairly good shape. I have been shootin' that one at the range with some mid-range A2400 loads pushing a 115 grain hardcast Boolit. Maybe one day I will get a Uberti in that caliber.

Very nice pistols. I bought a Ruger Blackhawk with the .45 acp and .45LC cylinder several years ago. At first all I shot in it were the .45 acp since I was loading .45 acp for my Kimber 1911 and Glock 30S. About a year ago I came across some .45LC brass and about the same time I was given some Laser Cast 250 grain bullets. After buying a set of dies, I Loaded up a bunch with some Bullseye powder and went to the range. .45LC is a hoot to shoot!! Now I want a .45LC rifle...most likely it will be a Henry and Cowboy style six-gun .45LC revolver...if not a Ruger Vaquero it will most likely be a Uberti.
