Occasionally I'll see one on Gunbroker up for auction. When I do see one, they're very pricey. I have a standard BC that I've upgraded the sights on and it's very accurate with my cast bullet handloads.

Never heard of one. Do you have any pictures? I have a standard BC also and like it very much. Right now I'm having sight issues with it but looking to remedy that sooner or later.

Talo has info and pics on their website, Talo had 300 made, they're worth what ever someone is willing to pay for one.

I have never heard of one. Are you looking to buy one? I have a .45 Classic Carbine that is one of my favorites and bet the 45-70 would be a good shooter.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Yes. I sold my Buffalo Classic and 38-55 Target model several years ago and have kicked myself since. In the meanwhile I have purchased a 38-55 back, paid way to much but it had a lot of brass and bullets, and the 45 Classic Carbine, LNIB from a gentleman in Miss on Armslist, not all Armslist deals are bad.

Also what are y'all using for sights? On my Buffalo Classic I just used the factory supplied peep sight but I have noticed some period correct modern scopes and ladder sights that really set the rifle out.

    Thanks for all your input.

I installed a shorter than factory given front sight ( Lyman globe ) and a Smith ladder for the rear. With the factory given sights I was shooting nearly a foot low at only 50yds. with rear sight maxed out. All is well now.

I have never seen one of the Golden's but I have a Classic Compact in 45LC that I have never shot and it is a beauty. It does't remind me of a H&R because of the quality of the piece but it is indeed a H&R.
