.357/20ga rifled BBL combo

30 years ago I owned a combo H&R with a 20ga "smooth bore" and a 30/30 BBL. I shot a couple of "wild" pig with the 30/30 and a number of dove and "franklin" with the shotgun barrel. It was on the "light side" and kicked "hard", but was sure easy to "pack". I saw that NEF now markets a combo in a .357/20ga rifled barrel model that looks like an improvement on a better (heavier) "platform". Does anyone on this forum own such a model, and how do both barrels perform? Has anyone made their .357 into a .357Max? Thanks!

I love these rifle/shotgun combo's I would like to get either of the two you mentioned but never see them at gun shows. I do have one in .22 Hornet/20 gauge and it's a tack driver in the Hornet, the 20 gauge... well it's a shotgun and it shoots what I point it at.

There are bunch at GBO that have rechambered their SB1 357mags to Max, they work fine except for some pierced primers which a primer change solves. Bud's has the SB1-357/20ga slug combo and other combos in stock for $270 shipped.
