    Great Uncle's K22

This Smith and Wesson K22 was made in 1948 and belonged to my great uncle. It was the first handgun my father ever shot. I remember hunting ground hogs with it at my grandmother's farm in Kentucky as a young teenager. It is still a fantastic shooter.

What a beauty! It sure doesn't look its age. I'll bet it's smooth as glass! A family heirloom.

I have never harvested an animal but I have KILLED QUITE A FEW !

I would rather have a gun in my hand than a cop on the phone,,,,,,,,,

Yup I have a brand new K17, been hunting rabbits with it. They are still smooth as glass, with a 2 pound trigger pull and superbly accurate. - Locoman

I love the model 17. Your's is very nice despite you saying you hunted with it. Here are a couple pics of my S&W K's in .22......Model 17 and 48 with 8 3/8" barrels.
