    great story, I sold a pistol last year just like yours. they are built like a tank and shoot very good. it is a quality made gun. in the old mission impossible shows they regularly had one they used in a lot of the scenes. it was the larger Astra 400 it was 9mm largo ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    It's cool that this pistol and the history behind it are preserved for your family. I have a hard time grasping the idea of a Glock or some other polymer pistol having the same meaning.

    Astra was a good solid pistol. A couple years ago a guy bought a Astra in 9 Largo up and was trying to trade it to me for $300 range. It was on of cleanest ones I have seen with holster. I didn't take it and found out the owner was trying to get out from under it to break even. He had traded for it at a show and didn't know about Largo. I have had a few in 9mm p and they were good shooters.
