    Mysterious Redding Peep

Looking for model application info on a Redding receiver sight. I think it's a model P but not sure. Also It may fit vintage Remington shotgun. To wide for a 79 870 though. Any info would be appreciated.Redding_1.jpgRedding_2.jpgRedding_3.jpgRedding_4.jpg

Never seen a peep like this. However, I am aware of a rifle with two side by side mount holes on a rounded top, some versions of the Martini action. However, most versions for a Martini have a vertical and horizontal adjustable target post/mast vs a fixed peep.

    CK,
Thanks, I did not open the pictures for a larger format view. The Martini has a hump from tang to receiver similar to a Remington 8 or Browning A-5, just not as high.

I think your sight is for Rem 14 and 141. I would wager a beer on it. It's not for a Martini. There is one for Rem 8 & 81 but that's not
    it.

Ditto on that, may also fit the Remington M25, 21, and 121. All Peterson designed guns. The shape and hole spacing look identical to my 121 Marble's peep.

I wish it did. I have several m-14's, m-121's it's to wide for them spacing to screws. I think it fits an early shotgun Remington 10. The contour is perfect on the 8/81 receiver except not factor tapped.
