Great work Lew! We're so happy that you're offering these semi-auto pistol calibers.

Could someone tell me what the attraction for shooting handgun ammo in a rifle is. I have no problem with it and it is great that it is available as many people seem to want it but I just don't understand it. If i want a 45acp i will carry a 1911 not a rifle.

Everybody has their idea of the perfect rifle handgun combo. My buddy likes the idea of the 10mm Marlin with his Glock 10mm. For me, I'll stick with .44 Mag. The 450 Bushmaster conversion intrigues me, except for the price tag LOL

Yep - a 44 mag is better IMHO than 45 ACP.
Don't make sense to me neither.

    Hi Padraig,

Nice bumping into you again. Having built and shot quite a few of these conversions, here's my best answer to your question:
    1) Folks like the idea of matching handgun and rifle. Like myself, many prefer semis to wheelguns.
    2) The shorter semi auto cartridges allow for shortening the stroke of the 1894 significantly, so they're quick, and fun.
    3) They're really quick, and fun! Did I say that already?
    4) With the added velocities achieved in rifle barrels, cartridges like .45 and 10mm, properly loaded, can be legit for hunting small/medium game, but can also make more sense than mags in a home defense scenario.
    5) They're wicked cool.

    Cheers,
    AD
