Well my grandson has a great dad. He made his first hunt this year using his red ryder. They went to the stand and had 4 deer come out to the food plot. The grandson shot at all 4 with his bb gun. He actually hit 1 and it was muddy so when the deer took off after being shot it fell down. Well my son did the whole thing and they went out to look for blood and trailed the deer tracks for a while. Well he was excited to say the least and told me he needed a bigger gun his bb gun just wasn't enough. He's 4 years old.
I went later to his stand that he hunted and killed a doe. He wasn't at camp that day. So I called him and told him that when I skinned that deer it had a big bruise on it's side where it had been shot with a bb gun. My son has a picture of the grandson sitting there with his red ryder out the stand window and 2 deer out in front of him.
The grandson is something special to me but also is the dad that takes the time and has the patients to make the memories that will last a lifetime. We also have a photo of us at deer camp together that day. 4 generations of our family in the woods together hunting. My dad myself my son and grandson. Life is good.
