44 degrees here with a sunny day in the prediction. With a little luck my lawn (old horse hay field!!) will dry up enough to get a lawn cut this afternoon. Cloudy and rainy for the past week, worst storms were slightly north and south of us. Mississippi is going to rise 3 to 4 feet at La Crosse over the next couple days as a result of the precipitation, makes fishing unpredictable but being me, I will be out there Monday or Tuesday. Need to run the fuel out of the tank so my fall fill up leaves mostly fresh fuel for the spring. We have a local Cenex station that has unleaded regular without alcohol that seems to last better than the typical blended fuel. Use it for all of my gasoline small engines and will top the tank off for the winter to minimize condensation. Thinking of using Sea Foam instead of Sta-Bil this year. Several cups of coffee down and need to get productive - off to the rain locker!

about the same here on the West side of the Sabine ..... 71° when I got up and expected 98° for the high. But, the long range forecast is showing predictions of 94° highs by the end of the week, and still no rain

It's beautiful today. Was 57 at wakeup, went and whacked up a load of wood before the sun got hot. Back home by 7:45. Didn't even break a sweat. Looks like chow and target shooting Sunday. Unloading wood tomorrow, don't have any interest in doing it now, I must be getting old. 3 down, 24 to go. It's an endurance run every Fall.

No thanks. That pickaroon looks like it will really hurt my particular back injury. It's not for me. I prefer to throw the wood up on the deck, then stack it neatly. Also carry some up the stairmaster, like cardios. I'm 70 and like to work out this time of year. 24 loads to go. It takes 8 to fill the deck, and the rest gets thrown out by the front and back door in a pile.

I had to look up Pickaroon, for some reason it sounded racist.
