An Oliver's work is never done

Though i would venture across my bridge and take the brush hog and my chainsaw, and open up the tractor's
Roadways. Didn't get to far , it's to wet , so i went over to my uncles field and made a couple passes around the field, till i seen water slinging off the tires and i got the heck out of there.

I just love working a tractor or skid steer. Do a lot of both on my property in Florida. Like your tractor! Here's my new Kabota with a friend sitting on it.

We have been getting 2X the monthly precipitation for about a year now. Spent last week laying rocks in an ATV trail through my woods. Have a family of ducks there for the first time I can remember.

Doing a complete rebuild on my '52 8n right now. The clutch assy should be here by mid week and the engine, with new rings pistons sleeves and a complete new valve train will be ready to be bolted back together. Been working on it for a couple of weeks and anxious to see her back in the fields. Wrong time of the year for this work, but a lot easier than cold weather.

I had a Super 55 like that one but could not keep a clutch in it. Good tractor otherwise. I now have a small Kubota I have had forever. Bought some of the old ones on an off but seemed to work on them more than with them. When you get a good one they are still tough tractors though.

Got a break in the weather and put in some seed plots, but the weather has turned wet and chilly which doesn't lead to rapid starts although the grass is growing. Also been dragging out firewood all spring. I have an attachment for the Kubota to hold saws, gas splitters and chain. It is a 3 point carry all and I backed into a tree skidding wit it and now am rebuilding the box I put on it. Springs pretty busy time., but it is also wet now.

That one is actually a Diesel, I started driving one very much like it as a little kid on the farm. Didn’t know that Oliver even made a Super55 Diesel! Mostly gas around back then. That one is a 1955.
