For me, that was my biggest reservation about a Henry. I'm hoping for a Big Boy with a loading gate.

Competition is Good! Maybe this will nudge Marlin to 'step up their game'!
    At least I hope so.

I’m thinking it would be cool to have the loading gate and the tube. At the end of a day hunting you could unload them from the tube. But I’m sure having both will add cost.

    I'm really impressed.

As I mentioned in the other thread:

Good move on Henry's part and noted they've decided to chamber 35REM! Good looking lever rifle.

I'm going to contact the owner regarding a Henry Long Ranger in 338FED which would be an awesome big game lever rifle. That and when the H010 Steel Lever Action .45-70 will be available with a loading gate. I'll jump all over both of these!

Looks like the new side gate will be available in.35 Remington and .38-55, too. Nice. That's the difference in management and production styles of the two companies. Henry is innovative and aggressive, Remington is asleep with its thumb up its arse.

If Henry would make a .444, there would be some real sales interest. They already cornered a market share by offering a .41 Magnum.

Now all they need to do is add the loading gate to their Big Boy series, and I am in!!!

If they make a side loading .41 mag, I'll get in line.
