    All of the members that have been saying "if only Henry would add a loading gate , a 35 Rem. etc" well it will be interesting to see what happens next. To me the fact that you know that a rifle from H.R.A. will have straight sites and wood that fits and the smoothest action that doesn't need to be worked on just about nails the box shut for remlin.

    Well.. I be John brown if Henry didn’t come out with the side loading gate. Never thought that would happen. Glad to see it though! I agree that remlin probably hates this news.

    Fail...ugly stock checkering, ugly brass receiver, ugly caliber choices.

    But if it works and they eventually sell it in cartridges that make sense, the guns will sell.

    Uh-oh, Marlin. This could be big for Henry and bad for Marlin. Henry just got my undivided attention on a new lever gun purchase. I'll sell whatever I have to for a case hardened, octagon barreled 38-55.

    The pictures show both a loading gate and a loading port in the magazine for tube loading. The loading gate adds nothing to the rifle for me but I am impressed in how Henry responds to customer desires. They have a 327 mag which surprised me as I rarely see that cartridge around. The 35 and 38-55 are an excellent offering. As many folks as I see sending beaters off to JES made me wonder if they would not do so. JES may still be less expensive option if one can find the base rifle.

    I would be interested to se Henry's production systems. With todays machining available they are an example of what can be done. A Remlin should be made to closer spec's than a JM but something happened. Marlins are still slightly less expensive than Henry's.
